Owner/Coach Belinda Dawson


In 2017 Belinda became the new owner of Sirens Cheerleaders and has focused her energies on instilling the strong Sirens foundations and values throughout every athlete and coach and continuing the high calibre of tuition, expertise and output Sirens is known for.   Coach Belinda was introduced to cheerleading in 2010 when her daughter started the sport. With a childhood of dance, seven years as a dance instructor and a Bachelor of Arts, she thought her skills may come in handy and volunteered to coach a local Canberra primary school team. She found the progression to cheerleading exciting and fulfilling and has been hooked ever since! Belinda has coached both pom and cheer, owner of Good Shepherd Primary School Cheerleading and ACT’S only high school cheer team at St John Paul ll College.   In 2012, her primary school pom team were  national champions and in 2016 her primary school won 3 National titles. As a coach Belinda encourages self belief, a strong team commitment and fun! She believes with the right attitude anything is possible. Belinda joined the Sirens leadership team in 2014 and was awarded the club coach of the year award in 2014.

Coach Hayley Smith


Coach Hayley has participated in and coached numerous sports including netball, softball and cheerleading. She has been a state representative in softball and has played top level softball with the Gungahlin Angels with her 20+ years experience. In 2010 Hayley represented Australia at the ICU Cheerleading World Championships and The Cheerleading Worlds, on the first amalgamated Team Australia cheer team, alongside head coach Rianna. Hayley is a beauty therapist by day and on many occasion has volunteered her skills to help our cheerleaders with hair and makeup for competition. She also works as a promotions staff member with Australian Baseball League champions Canberra Cavalry. Level five coach Hayley is very passionate about helping her cheerleaders to achieve their goals.

Coach Nicci Ardley


After a lifetime in the performance industry,  Nicci started coaching cheer in 2014 at a new club on the south coast and quickly fell in love with the excitement and the new challenges it brings. She is a qualified gymnastics coach and has coached in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and now the ACT. Her experience is with all ages and abilities from 18 months, to school aged, teens, adults in both recreational and competitive. She has also done several years of work with children with special needs, something she enjoys immensely!
Nicci has a real focus on technique and presentation in order to provide a strong foundation for continued success. She has 31 years of dance experience (including as a dance teacher) and 32 years tumble, acro and circus arts. Nicci joined a circus at the age of three and embarked on several national tours as well as many smaller tours. She trained intensively for three months with the great Moscow circus and her regular trainers were chosen from the top of their fields from all across the world.
Nicci is eager to share her experiences and expertise, and believes in providing the opportunity for every person to become the best they can be.

Coach Emily Mitchell


Coach Emily Mitchell coaches tumbling and cheer for our younger athletes. She cheers on Sirens level 4 team and has cheered since 2008. Em has a strong background in dance, having started at age three, and has won several awards for her skills: for jazz, ballet and for overall excellence for her Year 12 dance class. She has also received the Cheerleader of the Day award for the 2010 AASCF ACT States cheer competition. Em is studying to become a primary school teacher at the University of Canberra.


Coach Jazcinta Kinnish


Coach Jazz participated in lots of sports when she was young but in 2007 when she started competitive cheerleading she found her passion and she has never looked back! It was her love for the sport that made the progression from athlete to coach such a natural transition and she still continues to be a competitive athlete on Sirens Open level 4 team. Jazz started coaching for Sirens in 2015 starting with tumble classes and recreational classes. In 2017 she co-coached her first competitive team, Cabaret (adult Level 1) to a  National Champion title!!
Jazz loves helping athletes of all ages reach their goals and achieve things they never thought they would. She always makes sure her classes are a fun place to be.
